Children...

I don't want them to grow up too quickly and miss what being young and carefree is all about.
I want them to enjoy it all. But being their mom, I want to be part of their enjoyment too...So far so good.

83 Days

I have gone from one thing to another this week, all in a bit of a haze, but a nice haze.
The headaches haven't gone away but we think we know why they came in the first place. Apparently I got a cramp in my brain. Like you might at 3 o'clock on a Sunday morning. There you are, sound asleep and your calf muscle cramps up and you roll around in pain for a while until it eases and then fall on the floor when you get out of bed the next morning due to the muscle being inflamed and aching. That's my brain. But now just the aching part.
An hour cooped up in in an MRI machine and some pretty cool pictures later, I know the results.
I have a beautiful brain with a muscle ache in it.
Apparently, Valium is really good for this type of headache but being a child who grew up in the 70's and early 80's with a mother who really liked Her valium, I refused this option. The neuro did say that really I could use it for a while, get rid of the headaches, then he would 'get me off of it'! No thank you.
I am going to try an alternative medicine first. Wish me luck. 83 days is a long time to have a headache, even if it is only a sore muscle.

In the mean time, one chick has gone off to France for an exchange with a French family and the the other chick/rooster has finished up school and is on his Easter holiday. No sleeping in though. He had to help The Rooster clean out the garage today or the skip was going to be ordered for Monday! It did get done.

More later, it has been a really busy week and there's plenty to write about!

  1. I would be scared of the Valium option too and my mother never touched the stuff. I hope the homeopathic medicine works.
On the bright side, a cramp is probably a lot less scary than many of the other things that could have caused a 83 day headache.

  2. I hope you get it sorted and that it's turned out not to be something really horrible.
